Build Faster. Deliver Sooner.

GrayBox delivers swift, high-performance structural solutions for builders and developers in Bali and beyond. Fusing Swedish and Japanese precision technology, we focus on core structures—walls, roofs, and foundational frameworks—using innovative systems that outpace traditional methods in speed and quality. With production facilities in Indonesia, GrayBox is engineered to meet the needs of contemporary development.

Technical Details

GrayBox leverages the PIR 100 system, a cutting-edge composite sandwich panel technology:

  • Composition: 100 mm Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) core sandwiched between two 5 mm Kalcia Board layers (fire-resistant gypsum or fiber-cement composite).
  • Panel Size: Standard up to 3 x 9 meters, customizable for larger builds.
  • Structural Strength: Load-bearing design with compressive strengths of 1.34-1.39 MPa (full panel) and 14.75-15.25 MPa (Kalcia Board), plus shear strength up to 2,000 psi.
  • Fire Resistance: 1-hour fireproof rating at 1000°C (Class A, ASTM E84/E119).
  • Thermal Performance: EPS core delivers an R-value of 3.6-4.2 per inch for excellent insulation.
  • Additional Specs: Waterproof, UV-protected, termite-resistant, zero VOC, non-corrosive, and highly rigid.

Benefits

We deliver clear advantages for developers and builders:

  • Speed: Complete structures in under one month post-foundation, with assembly at 1 m² per man-hour.
  • Cost Savings: Premium quality from 3 million IDR/m² (approx. $185 USD/m²), with lightweight design cutting logistics costs.
  • Energy Efficiency: Superior insulation reduces heating and cooling expenses.
  • Safety: Quake-proof, fire-safe, mold-resistant, and soundproof for lasting reliability.
  • Versatility: Easily customized panels adapt to any design, with flexible window and door placement.
  • Durability: Withstands winds up to 150 mph, floods (<4% water absorption), and impacts (Kalcia Board rated 50-60 in ASTM tests).

Construction Process

Streamline building with a two-phase system:

  1. Factory Production: Panels are crafted in our Indonesian facilities. EPS cores are laminated with Kalcia Board using fiberglass and polyurethane (PU) glue, then shipped ready-to-install.
  2. Site Assembly: Panels are anchored to foundations with U-steel brackets and PU glue, assembled by hand without heavy machinery. Roofs are completed with lightweight steel frames and membranes for fast, seamless setup.

This approach ensures efficient, high-quality construction with minimal on-site effort.

Materials

The PIR 100 system uses advanced, sustainable materials:

  • Expanded Polystyrene (EPS): Lightweight core for insulation and strength.
  • Kalcia Board: Fire-resistant composite for durability and protection.
  • Fiberglass: Reinforces joints for stability.
  • Polyurethane (PU) Glue: Secures strong, lasting bonds.
  • Lightweight Steel: U-steel brackets and tubes support roofs with minimal weight.

Together, these materials create a robust, efficient, and long-lasting system.
